FAQ

What material do we use?

PLA (polylactic acid) is a bio-based plastic made from renewable raw materials such as cornstarch or sugarcane. It is an environmentally friendly alternative to conventional plastics, as PLA meets high sustainability standards in many applications. PLA is industrially compostable and complies with the DIN standard EN 13432. This means that under industrial composting conditions, it can break down into water, COâ‚‚, and biomass within a few months.

rPLA stands for "recycled PLA" and consists of recycled raw materials that were previously used as food packaging or were misprints. We use rPLA for the production of our products because it is not only sustainable but also contributes to the reuse of materials. Our rPLA is sourced from Germany, where it has been 100% recycled. This ensures short transportation routes and supports local recycling processes. Sustainability is our top priority. By using rPLA, we can further reduce our ecological footprint while contributing to the reduction of plastic waste. We are continuously working to find innovative solutions to protect our environment. More information here.
